Duke was a prolific filmmaker who directed episodes of numerous shows, including Night Gallery, Banacek, and The Bold Ones, for which he won a Primetime Emmy. He also directed TV movies such as I Heard the Owl Call My Name, Columbo Cries Wolf, and the miniseries The Thornbirds. His feature directing credits include Payday, Hard Feelings, and The Silent Partner, for which he won a Canadian Film Award for best direction. He passed away in 2006.
