Sunshine
This moving drama traces five generations of a Hungarian Jewish family as they navigate a world undergoing seismic changes around them, from the mid-19th to mid-20th centuries. Beautifully capturing moments of joy alongside unimaginable tragedies, Sunshine is simultaneously epic in scope, and deeply human.
Featuring Ralph Fiennes in a brilliant performance as three characters, along with an incredible ensemble cast, the film shines as both a crowd pleaser and critical darling. It garnered many awards, including three Golden Globe nominations and the Genie Award for Best Motion Picture.
“An incredibly ambitious film and one of the most highly accomplished of the year.” – Michael Wilmington, The Chicago Tribune
