RBC Emerging Artists in Our Schools
RBC Emerging Artist 2016 -17
As a producer, director, and screenwriter, Andrew’s film career is without boundaries. Although he continues to work consistently within the Canadian film industry, directing the limited series adaptation of Jeff Lemire’s graphic novel Essex County, and episodes of Schitt’s Creek (for which he won a Primetime Emmy in 2020), Andrew has stepped onto the global film stage. REEL CANADA audiences will recognize Andrew’s work in the 2016 award-winning film, Sleeping Giant, which he directed, produced, and co-wrote.
In September 2022, Andrew’s production company, Film Forge, joined forces with fellow Canadian production company, Triple Point, to launch a capitalized development slate of new work, fostering collaborations with breakthrough talent from around the world. Andrew’s career has rooted itself firmly in the film industry, both in Canada and abroad, and we’re delighted to follow his successes each year.
REEL CANADA champions emerging Canadian film talent through our Emerging Artists in Our Schools programme, proudly supported by the RBC Foundation through their Emerging Artists project.
